Student Assistant within PowerBI, AI and innovation
Ørsted
Join us in this role where you’ll play an important role in changing the way our organization looks at data. You will contribute by simplifying and presenting complex data sets for relevant decision makers, all the while asking the right questions to make sure value is generated. By doing this you'll help and contribute to Ørsted’s journey towards a world that runs entirely on green energy by structuring and presenting data to optimize maintenance at our power plants.
Welcome to Ørsted Bioenergy
You’ll be part of our Digital Products and Processes department in our Bioenergy organisation where you, together with your colleagues, will work on data and your main task will be building data models and guiding end users in how to build data visualization in PowerBI themselves. However, there will also be plenty of other opportunities for tasks involving AI agents, hands-on support for new technologies and possibly data science tasks. Your curiosity and eagerness to learn will lead the way for your continious development.
As a team, we share thoughts and leassons learned in order to improve and develop. We support eachother as a team and at the same time work on individual tasks.
You’ll play an important role in:
- teaming up with our other student who will help you get started
- training and interacting with end users on how to build best practice PowerBI dashboards and within our governance model
- helping enhance existing analytical models, using e.g. Python
- supporting our NewTech team, which seeks to improve the way we are working in our Power Plants by using robots, drones, new IoT sensors etc
- working 20 hours weekly in the office.
To succeed in the role, you:
- either have existing Microsoft Power BI knowledge or are eager to learn how to combine data into appealing and user-friendly dashboards and be comfortable to train end users
- are enrolled in a relevant study program like data science or similar and you should at least have two years left in your studies, preferably more
- possess programming skills, e.g. Python
- speak and write English fluently; Danish is, however, a big plus
- have a strong personal drive and can work independently as well as value being part of team.
Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
