Postdoctoral Researcher

DTU-elektro

Research and innovation lead on data-driven flexibility in electricity and district heating systems, working in close collaboration with Danish DSOs, TSOs and industry partners.

Lead technical work packages in EU and national projects (Horizon Europe AI-EFFECT, StoRIES, PHAETHON; Elforsk 3PhaseInsight), including deliverables, milestones and reporting.
Designed and ran live AI-based control experiments on real district-heating infrastructure at the SYSLAB living lab (DTU Risø), from thermodynamic down-scaling and modelling to containerised deployment on operational hardware.
Built large-scale smart-meter analytics pipelines covering ~100,000 households in partnership with a Danish DSO, turning raw 3-phase metering data into grid-planning and flexibility insights.
Developed decision-support tools for MV/LV grid design and industrial flexibility together with companies at GreenLab Skive.
Authored a full Villum Young Investigator research proposal as PI and co-developed an EUDP consortium proposal as co-PI, including consortium building, work-plan design and budgeting.
Coordinate workshops, consortium meetings and dissemination events with utilities and research partners; organised the 3PhaseInsight final conference and DSO workshop.
Supervise and mentor MSc students and student assistants; supervise laboratory teaching for international summer schools.

Guest PhD Researcher

Aarhus Universitet (AU)

Six-month funded research stay (competitive national fellowship + international research leave grant) focused on real-time simulation and experimental validation.

Established a Speedgoat-based real-time simulation and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) platform for power-electronics and energy-management research.
Developed and validated model predictive control strategies for EV energy management in a cloud-edge computing architecture.
Ran experimental validation of control algorithms against simulation models.
Assisted teaching in Power Electronics and mentored visiting guest students.

PhD Researcher (Electrical / Power Engineering)

SUTech University

Doctoral research on uncertainty-aware operation and coordination of microgrids and smart distribution grids. Fully funded by a merit-based scholarship.

Developed distributed optimisation and multi-agent coordination methods for microgrid and smart-grid operation under uncertainty.
Designed and deployed an LSTM-based forecasting model inside a live microgrid management framework.
Modelled demand response and cloud-fog computing architectures for distributed energy resources.
Implemented and validated models in MATLAB/Simulink, including MILP formulations and graph-theoretic network models.
Published 10+ peer-reviewed journal and conference papers (263 citations); reviewed for international journals.
