The Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Chinais looking for an energetic Chinese student for a position as our part-time Environment, Water and Maritime Student Assistant to start as soon as possible. Please see detailed information below:
Job Description
As an Environment, Water and Maritime Student Assistant, you will be closely working with the entire team to contribute to our bilateral cooperation with Chinese ministries and partners. Your main tasks will include:
- Maritime and shipping related market/policy desktop research tasks;
- Translating relevant information/policies about decarbonisation pathway in maritime industry in China; Support to translate and coordinate the seminar and workshop agendas;
- Information collection - Danish industry news, Chinese maritime tech devotement news, Chinese Environment and Water related policies, regulations and guidelines;
- Each virtual meeting system testing with Chinese/Danish partners, virtual meeting equipment setting up;
- Virtual meeting control with the technician during the meeting;
- Beautify the format of reports and PPT;
- Practicality and pre-meeting arrangements for physical meetings, meeting room booking, catering preparing or purchasing, car arrangement, guests register, welcome at the gate ect;
- Assisting with other maritime and environment SSC related ad hoc affairs;
You will have to be able to commit to 20 hours per week, minimum 6 months, preferably 12 months (working hours will be planned based on the schedule together with the selected candidates)
Preferred Qualifications
The job is open for applicants who is currently studying at a university. We prefer you to have the following qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled in a BA or MA programme, major in engineering, international relations, English or related areas is a plus.
- Good command of written English and Chinese;
- Analytical thinking, experience in policy research or basic knowledge of decarbonisation is a plus;
- Superb in usage and knowledge of Microsoft Presentation, word;
- Knowledge and experience in conference platform usage is a plus;
- Responsible, inquisitive and creative
