The position is for 2 years, and the right candidate could be a student.

The job
In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with development and maintenance of current and new bioinformatic tools
  • Technical support. Answering emails from users of our web-tools.

We understand that you may not have extensive experience and the tasks assigned to you will be tailored to your current skill level, ensuring a valuable learning experience.

Our expectations of you
We are looking for a colleague with python programming and Unix command line experience. It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have some experience with our online tools on our platform (http://www.genomicepidemiology.org).

Furthermore, we expect you to be able to work independently solving appointed assignments. Most inquiries regarding support will be in English so good English skills are required.

Salary and appointment terms
Depending on your profile salary and employment terms will be in accordance with the OAO-S Joint Agreement and the organization agreement for IT employees (Prosa) in the service of the state or (if you have a BSc degree) the appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) (employment as AC-bachelor).

The position is for 10-15 hours per week (to be agreed with the relevant candidate) and the contract will be for 2 years.

The Research Group for Genomic Epidemiology conducts targeted research with the aim of predicting and preventing infectious diseases in humans and animals, as well as supporting global detection and control with a special emphasis on antimicrobial resistance and food borne infections.
