on an ongoing basis.

Are you a creative collaborator currently enrolled in an education and with an eye for graphical storytelling? And does the idea of turning complexity into visually appealing marketing collaterals whet your appetite? Then you might be just who we are looking for to help create designs and videos that elevate Danske Commodities’ brand.

The job

Here’s what the job entails
You will work closely with our Senior Brand Designer and the rest of the Marketing & Branding team to drive Danske Commodities' brand, engaging with colleagues from the whole organisation along the way. We work with external agencies and suppliers, and you will be part of these collaborations, but most of our work is done in-house, which means you will truly help set the visual direction.

Specifically, your responsibilities will include:

  • ideating and drafting designs to be used in print, social media, presentations, web graphics, merchandise and the likes.
  • taking photographs for marketing collaterals as well as recording and editing of videos and podcasts.
  • covering ad-hoc assignments across Marketing & Branding such as AV support at Town Hall meetings, practical help in connection with events and fairs, assisting with data collection and similar.

The team

Meet the team
You will join our Marketing & Branding team, where we focus on increasing brand awareness towards our primary target groups of potential employees and customers. Besides you and the Senior Brand Designer, the team consists of an assistant designer, who works 8 hrs/week, a marketing specialist responsible for our commercial activities, a student employee responsible for employer branding and the head of Marketing & Branding, who also covers social media. Although we have formally divided our areas of responsibility, we often work beyond our respective subject matters, sparring with and supporting each other when needed.

The team is part of our 11-person strong Strategy & Communications unit, which, besides marketing and branding, is responsible for the development and execution of DC's corporate strategy and sustainability initiatives, as well as internal and external communications. We make the most of our different backgrounds and are bound together by a steadfast motivation to take DC's brand and business to new heights.

You’ll become part of a very brand-centric company in a team that takes great pride in turning complexity into simplicity. We give lots of responsibility, so you’ll have ample opportunity to develop and breathe life into the brand touchpoints you encounter.

Senior Brand Designer
Your qualifications

But enough about us… over to you!
We imagine you are currently studying graphic design, film production, photography or similar, but there is no one point of entry to this position and what matters most is your understanding of design principles and your sense of aesthetics. Ideally you are able to work 15-20 hrs. per week, but work hours are flexible and will of course be balanced with your studies. You thrive in an environment where the assignments are varied and, like the rest of us, you take a positive view: No job too big, no job too small. You are passionate about people and service-minded, but you are also comfortable voicing your convictions about whether there is a more suitable way of doing things.

We imagine you:

  • are an experienced user of Adobe Creative Cloud (primarily Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign).
  • have experience with photography and/or videography.
  • have experience with Premiere Pro and After Effects – or are willing to learn.
  • have a finger on the pulse and a knack for spotting trends.
  • are comfortable communicating in English since that is our company language.

Please note that it is not a requirement to have prior knowledge of the energy industry to enter this role. When applying, please upload or refer to examples of design work you have previously done – be it professionally or on a hobby basis.

NB

Head of Marketing & Branding Astrid Hokken is the recruiting leader for this position but will be on holiday in July. For any enquiries about the position, please contact Senior Brand Designer Martin Lynnerup using the contact information provided.
