Internships in Engineering and Business Support
We offer internships in various departments, with the majority based at our pharmaceutical manufacturing sites. As an intern, you'll be an integral part of the team from the start, contributing your ideas and playing a key role in the development and expansion of technology across our production facilities.
You'll have the opportunity to support and explore areas such as:
- Data access and architecture
- Advanced automation
- Machine vision
- Machine learning
- Mechanical design and simulation
- Virtual or augmented reality
Your responsibilities will vary depending on the department, but may include:
- Assisting with projects to improve our manufacturing setup
- Supporting cross-functional activities to advance the use of innovative and existing technology
- Assisting with projects related to the design, development, and maintenance of operations information systems to monitor manufacturing efficiency
The Engineering and Business Support Talent Pipeline includes internships in fields such as:
- Data engineering and software engineering
- Production and testing of production lines
- Automation disciplines, including robotics
- Mechanical development and solutions
- Modelling (pilots, testing, etc.)
- Innovation and process optimization
- Business Support

Internship Details
An internship position at Novo Nordisk is between 18-37 hours per week, with most positions requiring 37 hours, mostly on-site. We provide flexibility to meet your educational responsibilities as we recognize the value of your study.
- Internships can last from 3 to 6 months, with potential extensions up to a maximum of 12 months
- Internships are paid if your educational program allows it
- A Danish full-time work permit is required
Please note that you can have an internship at Novo Nordisk only once, regardless of the duration.
Qualifications
You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Chemical, Production, Innovation) or other relevant fields with at least 6 months left of your studies. We are seeking interns who are eager to learn, able to manage their time effectively, and have some experience in their field and working with various stakeholders.
Fluency in English is a requirement, and your CV should be submitted in English.
Joining a Talent Pipeline at Novo Nordisk
Most of our Internship positions are filled through our Talent Pipelines. By joining, you'll be considered for numerous positions that aren't publicly advertised. If your profile matches a position, we'll invite you for an interview with the hiring manager.
You'll remain in the Pipeline for up to 6 months unless you choose to withdraw. After 6 months, due to GDPR, we close the pipelines and notify all active candidates, providing a link to reapply to our new Talent Pipelines.
