We are now looking for a Master of Science / Research Scientist within microfabrication and piezoMEMS!
We are currently looking for candidates with competence and interest in cleanroom processing and production, micro- and nanofabrication technology, process development, process qualification, and reliability. You will be part of a project organization responsible for delivering high-quality R&D, prototyping, and production work to industrial customers as well as academic research partners. The right candidate will have a central role in contributing to further developing our unique piezoMEMS fabrication pilot line to the next level of production capacity.

You should be driven, self-motivated, proactive, creative, and focused on quality. You will be expected to cover the whole chain from process development and process qualification to production and quality assurance. You will also contribute to project idea and device concept development, establishment of new collaborations with industrial and academic partners, scientific publications, and project proposals for R&D and production. Both experienced professionals and newly graduated candidates are encouraged to apply.

We are looking for candidates with qualifications matching several of the following requirements:

  • MSc or PhD in MEMS technology, piezoMEMS, microtechnology, nanotechnology, physics, chemistry, or related discipline, with a solid academic record (excellent grades and/or strong publication record).
  • Competence and keen interest in micro- and nanofabrication processes, hands-on experience in cleanroom fabrication and use of advanced metrology tools
  • Experience from a production environment is considered an advantage
  • Experience and competence in sensor/device design is considered an advantage
  • Good scientific and industrial network and good understanding of industry needs and requirements
  • In addition to technical-scientific competence, we are seeking candidates with skills like:
  • Team player
  • High focus on quality
  • Ability to take initiative and generate new ideas
  • Ability to see the potential in technological development to develop novel components or concepts
  • Ability to interact and work in close cooperation with customers
  • Good communication skills in both English and Norwegian/a Scandinavian language (not compulsory but highly appreciated.
