Data Scientist

ECCO SKO A/S

Do you want to research and build advanced analytics solutions using the latest tech? Are you looking to have a global impact by productionizing state-of-the-art advanced analytics solutions?
If so, apply to become a data scientist in our Advanced Analytics & AI team and help build world class solutions, work with the latest technologies and enjoy a fun and learning-oriented environment.
Join our Data & AI tech hub in Copenhagen
We lead the global data science initiatives and capabilities across ECCO Group and drive an ambitious strategy to fundamentally improve how ECCO operates based on data. This means working with the entire value chain – from logistics and sales to marketing, pricing and store operations.

As a Data Scientist, you will develop, implement and deliver data science solutions, ranging from exploratory analyses to automated solutions in production. You will learn how we work with DevOps and DataOps pipelines, and you will be part of deploying and maintaining solutions. Furthermore, you will:

  • Be part of a well-established Data Science & Machine Learning product team, working closely together with skilled ML engineers and (Sr) Data Scientists
  • Develop new and existing data science products, e.g. for price optimisation, inventory management, marketing analytics, consumer analytics, pricing, demand sensing, etc.
  • Clean, prepare and synthesise data for use in descriptive analysis, as well as predictive, prescriptive and generative models
  • Develop and implement machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) algorithms for real-world problems by using supervised, unsupervised, semi-unsupervised and reinforcement learning
  • Deliver solutions based on a modern data platform that is delivered by a state-of-the-art Data Platform team

You enjoy learning while solving real problems
You are always interested in learning new technologies and ways of working. And if there’s something you don’t know, we are the perfect place to learn it. We imagine that you:

  • Have (or will soon complete) a master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative discipline, e.g. statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, physics or economics
  • Haven proven your ability to excel (e.g., excellent academic record, extra-curricular activities), however previous full-time work experience is not required
  • Know at least one programming language, ideally python
  • Are familiar with modern cloud-based data tech stacks; although this is a plus, not a requirement, if you don’t we will teach you!
  • Are fluent in English and have solid communication skills; fluency in Danish is a plus.

We tackle an endless range of new opportunities
You can look forward to joining a tech hub with 30+ highly skilled, motivated, collaborative and fun-loving colleagues. We share an entrepreneurial spirit and a bias for action. With a broad mandate to experiment, explore and innovate, we are tackling an endless range of new opportunities.

We are always ready to implement new technologies into our workflow. In addition, your continued personal and professional development is essential to us, and we offer participation in internal and external courses, education and conferences supporting this development.

We invite candidates for interviews on an ongoing basis, so do not hesitate to apply. For additional information, you can reach out to Head of Advanced Analytics & AI, Thomas Jauho [email protected].
