BITZER Electronics has developed a universal heat pump controller that is able to drive both domestic and industrial heat pumps. Because of the large number of different configurations of HVAC systems for both industrial and domestic applications it is difficult to maintain the physical hardware needed to test all configurations.
To counter this problem several simulation models reflecting all different types of HVAC components to model the different system configuration must be developed and combined into larger models representing the varying hardware configurations. These models are then connected to the heat pump controller and used to generate realistic feedback, enabling full system tests without actual hardware. This will enable automatic testing of the heat pump software, significantly lowering the test effort whenever a new software release is ready to be released.
Objectives
Create mathematical models of components encountered in HVAC systems to be used as plug-in modules for bigger simulations of a fully connected HVAC system. A key focus for these models is robustness and speed of simulation, and working with these challenges will help you improve your modelling skills significantly, to a point where they will be highly relevant in the industry.
Practical information
BITZER electronics is located in Sønderborg, but your workplace will be at our office in NOVI, in cooperation with experienced engineers from BITZER Electronics Control Technology team.
You can work for up to 16 hours per week, the rate is 155kr/hour, with free lunch in NOVI’s restaurant on the days you work.
