About the role
We are seeking an intern to join the Structure team in our Facility Design department in the autumn of 2024 or 2025. This internship offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience and develop valuable skills within the pharmaceutical industry.

You will join a highly skilled team of engineers, contributing to the design and analysis of structural components for large-scale facility projects. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with interdisciplinary teams, develop your technical expertise, and participate in impactful projects that shape the future of pharmaceutical facility design.

How you might spend your days
As an intern, you’ll be:

• Assisting in the design and analysis of structural components and systems for various facilities.
  
• Collaborating with senior engineers on ongoing projects, including facility layout, design optimization, and compliance with industry standards.
  
• Coordinating with other disciplines, such as architects, HVAC, electrical, and process teams.
  
• Conducting site visits to assess structural integrity and support construction planning.
  
• Preparing technical reports, drawings, and documentation for project deliverables.
  
• Participating in team meetings and brainstorming engineering solutions.

The miles you’ve walked
In all positions there are some things that are needed, and others a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:

• You are currently enrolled in a degree program related to Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering.
  
• You have a basic understanding of structural design principles, construction materials, and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
