How to contribute to our vision
We are looking for a self-driven student worker to support our Turbine Control Team in Skovlunde (in Copenhagen) with a variety of tasks.
Being a Student Worker in Siemens Gamesa is an opportunity for you to develop your personal capabilities and build a professional and international network. You will get the chance to enhance your professional development and get relevant work experience in a global company.
Your responsibilities will consist of:
- You will design, work with, and improve our tools framework under one of our experienced engineers' supervisions.
- You will scope, plan and develop tools, e.g., for postprocessing aeroelastic simulations and assessing field data.
- You should also expect to become a point-of-contact for collecting feedback from the team and supporting them when needed.
- You may also be tasked with supporting the team with other work, e.g., improving documentation.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are looking for someone who is currently enrolled at the university in the 1st year of their master’s in computer science, computer engineering or software development (or similar). Please attach your transcript from your university as well as your CV.
To be successful in this role, you need/are:
- Experienced MATLAB or Python programmer
- Experienced with Automated Testing Frameworks, DevOps and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Development) on GitLab/Azure
- Familiar with Software Design Patterns and Architecture
- Familiar with version control systems such as Git or Mercurial
- Comfortable with LaTeX
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Eager to learn, good-spirited, love to collaborate with a team and ready to take on tasks independently
- Driven by a desire to improve and make a change
Beware, we are looking for a student worker who is able to work 1-2 days a week.
Most importantly, you challenge yourself and your colleagues to achieve the best results. You have a high professional competency, and you have a desire to develop your skills. You have good collaboration skills, and you can manage to act in different cultural contexts. To thrive in this position, you must have a strong result- and customer-oriented approach.
