As a Shipping Intern/Graduate at TORM, you will join an international organization and embark on a journey of discovery and growth as trainee in the exciting world of shipping.

What Can TORM Offer?
As TORM Trainees, students at BSc International Shipping and Trade (IST) or similar programs can join TORM’s nine-month internship followed by a one-year full-time graduate program 01 September 2025.
Two positions are available, and our trainees will leave the program with qualifications in all key areas of shipping. As an intern/graduate, you will rotate and experience different departments in TORM, including commercial operations, chartering, bunker purchase, and corporate functions such as corporate finance and strategy, sale and purchase, business intelligence, etc.

This rotation will provide comprehensive insight into the business. You also have the opportunity to explore our working culture at one of our offices abroad during a four-month exchange.

It’s a challenging and rewarding journey to be a TORM trainee, and you will need to prioritize work and education. During the program, you will be based at our office in Hellerup, joining an international environment with colleagues from around the world.

Our trainees are enrolled in the Danish Shipping’s Education Program with four modules over two years, where you will take away valuable learnings and a great network in the industry.

  • In your second year of BSc in International Shipping and Trade at CBS
    or a similar program
  • Have a keen interest in building a career within shipping
  • Are a team player who is also able to work independently
  • Are enthusiastic and self-motivated, able to multi-task and value integrity
  • Have a global mindset with excellent communication skills
  • Are fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • It will be considered an advantage if you have experience from the industry, a relevant student job, time abroad, or speak additional languages

Compensation
We offer a nine-month unpaid internship, working 25 hours per week, and the opportunity to “top it off” with a paid Student Assistant position for the remaining 12 hours per week.
