PROJECTS YOU COULD IMPACT
Experiences & Facilitation
Dalberg Media, well-known for its commitment to creating impactful experiences and facilitating initiatives contributing to global development, is involved in running several global platforms related to sustainability and innovation, for clients such as Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, WDF, Merck Group and others. As part of this work, we spearheaded a community campaign and organized training workshops for the Diabetes Compass program under the World Diabetes Foundation in Tanzania and Sri Lanka. The primary objective was to enhance the early detection of diabetes and hypertension, thereby fostering healthier communities in rural areas of both countries.
Our comprehensive approach involved conducting focus group discussions and workshops with healthcare professionals and community stakeholders to pinpoint the most effective communication methods for reaching the target populations. Subsequently, we devised and implemented tailored training sessions for community health workers responsible for conducting screenings. This strategy not only expanded the reach of our initiative but also ensured its long-term sustainability.
In the future, you will have the opportunity to shape the trajectory of these platforms by facilitating innovation workshops, assisting in the development of implementation and acceleration tools, and aiding in the recruitment of participants.
Advocacy & Campaigns
Dalberg Media works with non-profits, businesses, and governments to support their sustainable development agendas. Prior engagements include working with Race for Ocean, a Danish NGO, helping them to raise awareness on plastic waste in the oceans, which resulted in mobilizing almost 2000 people and 15,523+ kilogram of plastic to be collected; constructing a comprehensive dissemination strategy alongside engaging and educational graphics for the Welcome Trust Long Covid Research Agenda and Report; and supporting The Eleanor Crook Foundation with exploring advocacy, co-funding, and partnership possibilities in Denmark and Sweden. As part of this work, you'll be able to provide advice and deep analysis of current trends, create reports, infographics, and op-eds.
Content Production & Storytelling
Dalberg Media works to build strong narratives that support the mission of our clients. For example, we have conducted storytelling labs for Merck Group where we developed the concept of the Bilharzia Storytelling Lab as part of Merck Group's efforts to increase awareness about the causes and preventative measures for bilharzia. First implemented in Kenya in 2021, the initiative was expanded to Rwanda in 2022, with the program's third installment having taken place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in March 2024. However, we also run our own independent journalistic platform RE:Solve Global Health for insights, conversations and solutions on urgent global health issues and approaches to build resilient healthcare systems and healthier societies for all. Additionally, the podcast Re:Solve Talks offers a series of candid and nuanced conversations with experts from various industries, tackling what is holding us back from building healthier societies. Here you will be able to use your skills in creating appealing narratives, content strategies and do graphic design.
not just another intern
As our intern, you will be an equal member of the team and play a crucial role across the entire project phase, from research and analysis to execution and implementation. Dalberg's mission statement is:
"We are a global group of changemakers working to build a more inclusive and sustainable world where all people, everywhere, can reach their fullest potential."
This commitment also extends to our staff. Throughout your internship, you will receive tailored mentoring and training from our senior team. This will help you structure your personal and professional development during your time at Dalberg Media while also empowering you with the skills necessary to take real ownership of the work you're contributing to.
You will be delegated significant responsibilities and should thus be ready to take on various roles and work independently and in a structured manner. You will be part of a small and dynamic team that works closely together, and you will work with colleagues on all levels as well as directly with our clients and partners.

The six-month study internship is specifically tailored to provide you with the necessary foundation for the development sector.
