We are currently looking for a talented and creative student assistant to join our Internal Communications team in Group HR, Gentofte, Copenhagen. This is a great opportunity for a scholar looking to pursue a career in internal and change communications. You will be exposed to a wide variety of organisational development and transformation topics, gain insight into business strategy execution from multi-skilled teams and organizational leaders, as well as gain experience in a dynamic and challenging environment.
The challenge:
Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) is an international FMCG company active in over 100 distribution markets, with the vision of creating moments of enjoyment from some of nature’s finest products. To support this vision we need to bring the good stories to life in an planned drumbeat and we need to foster organizational awareness for the initiatives working to position ourselves as the undisputed global leader in cigars. As a Student Assistant, you will support the Head of Internal Communications with realizing a companywide internal communication plan and the activities that follow. Communication is key to establishing a change ready organization amongst our 10.000 employees.
Your responsibilities:
Your role will be to create internal communication material for STG, where we expect you to collaborate with key internal stakeholders supporting the transformation agenda. For the tasks given, we expect you to own and drive them, with the support of your manager.
- Developing and publishing content for our Sharepoint site (news articles, videos, posters etc)
- Co-owning the editorial plan and the execution thereof
- Supporting the successful roll-out of projects through strategic internal communications
- Partnering with key stakeholders to ensure that internal communication needs are being met.
- Producing and moderating live companywide broadcasts
- Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of ongoing communication activities
- Adhoc communication tasks when time allows for this
What we are looking for:
- You are currently in the last year of your bachelor’s degree, or in the first year of your master’s in a related subject to the role
- You are a good storyteller and can build a narrative in a story or presentation suitable to the audience.
- You understand the difference in communication formats and channels and how to tailor messaging accordingly
- You actively seek to understand the newest trends, both within the communications field and within the industry, and have a willingness to test new things.
- You are structured and able to prioritize and deliver on a wide range of deliverables simultaneously
- You are flexible and recognize that small tasks done well also create big value
- You know how to manage different Microsoft applications such as SharePoint and Teams, but also Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel)
We expect you to work between 15-20 hours/week, but we are of course flexible around exams. You should be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Danish fluency is also a plus.
