Graduate Program
Our Graduate Program is a 2-year journey tailored to your ambitions and skills. You will have 3 rotations in key departments to get hands-on experience leveraging quantitative data analytics and technology for risk management. From day one, you’ll collaborate with experts, work on impactful projects, and be given autonomy to make a difference.

The Quantitative Risk Track
As a Quantitative Risk Analytics Graduate at MFT Energy, you will join our risk management team to develop, maintain, and oversee quantitative models used in trading and risk management. This role is vital for ensuring robust model development and governance aligned with MFT Energy's risk appetite, policies, and the broader regulatory framework in energy trading.
As a Quantitative Risk Graduate, you will experience:
- Model Development & Maintenance: Supporting the creation, validation, and optimization of quantitative models to predict and assess risk exposures.
- Model Governance: Ensure adherence to model validation, approval, and change control processes. Collaborate with the Risk Committee to document and validate models in line with governance protocols.
- Mandate and Policy Compliance: Support the application and ongoing monitoring of risk mandates, ensuring models operate within the constraints established by MFT Energy’s trading mandates and associated governance protocols.
- Data Analysis: Work with large datasets to extract insights, perform statistical analysis, and ensure data quality and consistency. Utilize tools like Power BI for visualization.
- Risk Analytics & Monitoring: Assist in daily risk reporting, including monitoring market and liquidity risks against established limits as outlined in MFT Energy's risk framework.
- Collaboration & Reporting: Collaborate closely with the Risk Team, Risk Committee, and other departments (e.g., Treasury, Compliance) to ensure models reflect accurate risk metrics and align with the company's risk appetite.
About you
We imagine you have a strong interest in quantitative analysis and risk evaluation, coupled with a methodical approach to tackling complex tasks. You have a logical mind and strong problem-solving skills and can clearly present complex data and models to technical and non-technical stakeholders. You’re eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to shared goals, knowing that unity is the key to success.
Moreover, you:
- Have completed a master’s degree or a PhD in Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field in 2024 or 2025.
- Are proficient in data analysis and modelling tools such as Python or R. Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or other data visualization tools is a plus.
- Are fluent in English, both spoken and written, as it is our corporate language
