Electrical Engineering Graduate
Ørsted
The Ørsted Global Graduate Programme is designed to unleash your potential. We offer you an intense two-year developmental journey where you’ll learn from experts within your field and get diverse project experience, develop transferable skills, and build a strong cross-functional network with other talents.
The graduate journey
Our Global Graduate Programme consists of three rotations, where you’ll solve business challenges, take responsibility for your own assignments, and engage in our day-to-day business decisions.
You’ll get a unique chance to be part of our Offshore Wind Electrical team. We’ll plan your journey through different departments to ensure that you gain valuable global engineering experience and build a strong internal network. As part of the programme, you’ll help build engineering capabilities in our UK East Coast hub. You’ll start in a department focusing on the operation and maintenance of substation control systems and wind turbine control systems. You will continue to departments working with wind turbine SCADA and cyber security for critical infrastructure, while maintaining a focus on how this can improve the quality and reliability of the control systems. When you’ve completed the programme, we offer you concrete career opportunities in your field.
You’ll play an important role in:
- Being part of a team responsible for SCADA/OT operations, the monitoring of our systems, ensuring system health, availability and compliance of WTG and SCS systems
- aligning important interfaces with internal and external stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted control and monitoring of electrical components
- collaborating with SCADA control specialists from design to operation and ensure the quality of automation and control systems for wind turbines and substations
- ensuring compliance of critical energy production infrastructure with the IT/OT security standards
- ensuring that the correct cyber security level is implemented on the SCADA systems to fulfil country-specific and global company requirements.
- effectively supporting SCADA/OT systems and improvement upgrades through implementation of software/hardware to our assets
To succeed in this role, you:
- have completed a bachelor’s or a master's degree in engineering, sciences or similar by 1 September 2025
- have a maximum of one year of full-time, relevant work experience between your master's completion and 1 September 2025 OR 1-2 years of full-time, relevant work experience between your bachelor’s completion and 1 September 2025
- have a passion for green energy solutions, high curiosity, and are a team player who thrives on collaboration and take a strong problem-solving approach
- have drive, take initiative, and want to contribute to Ørsted’s results
- have a solid safety mindset.
Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
