The position
You will support initiatives related to driving Novo Nordisk's Environmental Strategy. You will get a chance to develop your knowledge and skills related to decarbonization and nature strategies specifically as well as managing environmental issues in a leading global company more broadly. Your task will be to support project managers and specialists in the implementation of projects linked to our decarbonization and nature strategies and will include collection, handling, and assessment of data, project support, and support to communication.
Practicalities:
- Internship Period: Full-time position for 6 months
- Working hours: Up to 37 hours weekly
- Start date: January/February 2024 or soonest possible
- Location: Bagsværd, Denmark
- Internships are remunerated if your educational track allows
- Full-time Danish work permit is required for non-EU candidates
Students must be enrolled at a university through the entire internship period. Both the internship period and working hours will be flexible to accommodate school projects/exams.
Qualifications
You are currently studying for your Master’s degree either in an Environmental field (e.g. Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management) or a Business Strategy field (e.g. International Business and Politics, International Business Strategy – preferably with a focus on Sustainability) or a similar relevant education.
To succeed in this role, you possess:
- General knowledge of strategy, environmental issues, and assessments
- Ability to conduct data analysis
- Great communication & interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with MS Excel
- Fluency in both spoken & written English

About the department

Corporate Environmental Strategy is a diverse team responsible for ‘Circular for Zero’, where we strive for zero environmental impact. Our responsibility includes a variety of environmental initiatives across the organisation and with external stakeholders.
We develop and deploy environmental strategies, run cross- organisational projects, and drive environmental intelligence leading to a reduced Novo Nordisk environmental footprint. The department consists of 25 dedicated project managers and specialists, all highly engaged in driving the environmental strategy of Novo Nordisk.
