Job Description
Danfoss Drives (DPD) is looking for an ambitious engineering student to join our Product Engineering Center (PEC) in Gråsten, Denmark, for a 5–6 month internship starting in February 2025.
As our new intern, you will play a key role in developing an innovative Modular Fan Testing Box to streamline fan testing processes and enhance production efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing a modular testing box to accommodate various fan configurations, ensuring compatibility through adaptable interfaces and diverse connector types.
- Developing and implementing features to measure critical parameters such as current and PWM signals during testing.
- Creating drawings and a Bill of Materials (BOM) for the tester, ordering necessary parts, and assembling the final system.
- Conducting concept validation through 3D printing and other prototyping methods.
- Integrating output connectors for external tools like oscilloscopes and graphical interfaces for data analysis and visualization.
- Writing a base program for the tester and documenting the system, including its design, functionality, and operational guidelines.
- Testing and refining the final tester to ensure it meets production and troubleshooting requirements.
This role provides a hands-on opportunity to bring innovative ideas to life and contribute directly to solving real-world engineering challenges.
Background & Skills
We are looking for a candidate who meets the following qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a B.Sc. or M.Sc. program in Mechatronics or a related field.
- Experience with 3D modeling software, such as Creo or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of programming and electromechanical components.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
