We are currently looking for a Student Assistant (internally called Analyst) to join the Business Development team in Investor Relations & Business Development in CIP’s HQ in Copenhagen.
The Team
The Business Development Team is part of the broader Investor Relations & Business Development (IR & BD) Team in CIP which today is approximately ~60 employees with diverse background across 15 nationalities. The IR & BD Team covers all interactions with investors and business development activities from product and fund development to fundraising and investor engagement. You will become part of an international and diverse team that is composed of professionals from different backgrounds, including investment banking, management consulting and law. The IR & BD team is based out of 7 offices across Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific.
The Business Development Team reports to CIP management and focuses on new investment product and fund strategies, including structuring of investor commitments.
The Role
As a Student Analyst in the Business Development team, you will be given significant responsibility and an opportunity to learn from the industry experts.
Your key work areas would include:
- Conducting market analysis to support preparation of commercial fundraising material, e.g., renewable energy market analyses, competitor strategies and positioning, etc.
- Supporting creation of material for leadership and investor meetings
- Selected projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders, e.g., legal, ESG, financial planning, investment teams, etc.
- Ad hoc handling of various data and process requests
The job is part-time 15-20 hours per week, and based in our beautiful office in NordØ.
You
We are looking for students in the last semester of Bachelor's or first semester of Master's, ideally studying economics or law, but it is not a prerequisite. Key is that you are willing to learn, have an interest in the energy market, private equity and investor space. We value high and positive energy, humbleness and a curious mindset.
Relevant work experience could be from a law firm (preferably M&A or fund formation), consulting, a private equity firm or banking, or a role in strategy / financing / business development in a corporation.
The ideal candidate:
- Has an analytical and structured approach to make clear recommendations from research
- Has excellent proficiency in PowerPoint, and ability to present analysis and solutions to complex problems in a precise manner
- Has strong English communication skills, both written and spoken
- Delivers high quality output with attention to details, shows self-motivation and willingness to learn
- Thrives in a dynamic environment with ability to work independently and within tight timelines
- Demonstrates good communication skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to new ways of working with many different stakeholders
- Has strong academic achievements and interest in strategy, project management, and renewable energy.
Please note that we do not offer a remote working opportunity, thus you must be a Danish resident or an upcoming student enrolled in a Danish university to be eligible for this role.
