We are on the lookout for a passionate and detail-oriented Logistics Student Assistant to support our logistics and supply-chain management efforts. You will be working closely with our Logistics and Tech Support Specialist, as well as our IoT Hardware & Operations Manager.
The role
As Logistics Student Assistant at Factbird, you'll support our sales organization by providing valuable logistics and supply chain operations assistance. This part-time role requires a commitment of 15-20 hours per week, allowing you to gain hands-on experience while balancing your studies.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and ensure that our hardware is operational and up to our quality standards.
- Handle internal communication with sales, align and answer any questions regarding our product’s availability, and support salespeople’s requests to bring the hardware for visits.
- Manage return material authorizations via our customer support platform.
- Handle raw material and shipping to manufacturers.
- Work with our inventory management system and utilize its functions to perform various logistics-related tasks.
- Stockkeeping and inventory management.
- Prepare and ship B2B customer orders both domestically and internationally.
- Assist with various ad-hoc tasks related to logistics and technology.
Who you are
We are looking for someone who’s not just skilled but also enthusiastic about what they do. Here are some qualities that would make you a fantastic fit:
- Currently studying for a degree within the Logistics or SCM field.
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
- Available and open to working mostly on-site.
- Experience in handling B2B or e-commerce shipments is a plus but not a requirement.
- Basic knowledge of logistics software.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to processes.
