As a student employee in the Business Intelligence team, you will play a key role in supporting the optimization of renewable and conventional assets, contributing to the efficient management of energy production across the Nordic region and Germany. Your work will directly support the division's goal of maximizing asset performance and delivering optimal results for our clients, helping drive the green transition.
You will report to the Head of Market Analysis & Projects, Origination.
YOUR MISSION
Your main responsibilities will be to develop and maintain business relevant tools on a strategic and operational level. You will be exposed to big data mining, which is one of our core approaches to decision making.
Your startup project will be rethinking an existing project, which is written in C#, and writing the new project in Python.
Your area of responsibilities will be to:
- Develop solutions to help traders make the right decision
- Develop backend code (Python) for analysis and present valuable insights
- Pull data from databases (SQL)
- Ad hoc tasks

Our team is made up of both an analysis function, focused on asset and market analyses and forecasts, and a software development branch that ensures operational stability.
As a part of the software development team, you'll collaborate closely on a range of challenging tasks, from developing tools to supporting daily operations.

The team consists of 11 dedicated individuals who work together to drive impactful results.

The ideal candidate is someone who has started their second or third year of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Physics, Mathematics, Mathematics-Economy, or Data Science. However, we value skills and experience over formal education.
We are looking for a candidate who excels in their studies, is curious, and thrives in a challenging environment where the learning curve is steep.
You should be conscientious, taking full responsibility for your own projects.
Additionally, we hope you are proficient in programming, particularly Python and C#, with experience in SQL, VBA, or R being a plus.
You should also be available to work an average of 14-16 hours per week.
There will be an introduction period at the onset of your employment.
