CAFÉ & EVENT COORDINATOR (INTERNSHIP)

Are you interested in gaining experience in café operations, event planning, and community building? We are looking for an intern to assist in managing our community space: Café Mellemrummet and our cozy summer backyard, located in the heart of Nørrebro.
As an intern, you will become part of our small team at Global Platform Copenhagen, which manages our spaces in Ravnsborgade. The focal point here is our nonprofit café, Café Mellemrummet, built on principles of volunteering, sustainability, and inclusion. We are a small office with 1.7 full-time employees and around 90 volunteers.
The Tasks
Your main task as an intern will be to assist in the daily operations of our café as well as handeling the recruitment process. You will also play an important role in helping to develop our space by seeking out new political and cultural partners and co-creating our event program.
· Onboarding new volunteers through our monthly info meetings and weekly “quick intros”
· Café operations, including ordering goods and taking weekly inventory
· Financial tasks, such as weekly reports
· Event management: this could include concerts, talks, markets, and more
· Assisting our existing volunteer groups-
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone who preferably has:
· A relevant educational background – anything from business to humanities
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to take initiative
· Some experience with organizing and coordinating events
· Experience working with volunteers or being a volunteer yourself
· An outgoing and team-oriented mindset, as you will work with and meet many different people.
