The People Development & Engagement (PD&E) team is part of DRC’s HR department at our headquarters in Copenhagen. We’re eight driven, friendly, and fun professionals dedicated to fostering staff engagement and professional growth. Together, we support DRC’s global mission to assist displaced people.
About the job
As our new Student Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the HR department to deliver high-quality services to our colleagues worldwide. You will handle a variety of tasks, from administrative duties and data analysis - to supporting learning initiatives and promoting staff engagement. Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Assist with employee inductions, workshops, webinars and events – from preparation to follow-up.
- Analyze people-related metrics, such as learning and performance data.
- Help employees access and navigate internal and external learning platforms.
- Ensure learning materials are ready to go in the right languages and formats.
- Coordinate team communications, including learning updates and newsletters.
- Manage invoices and expense reports.
- Support with ad-hoc projects and tasks when needed.

You take an interest in people, enjoy working with technology and are motivated by creating positive change. Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required
- Experience with Microsoft tools like MS Office.
- Familiarity with video conferencing platforms like Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
- Enrolled at a university (at least throughout the year).
- Fluent in English.
Desirable
- Familiarity with additional languages such as Danish, Spanish, French or Arabic.

We offer
- Contract length: Permanent contract (requires that you remain enrolled at a university throughout employment)
- Working hours: 15-20 hours per week
- Work place: Borgergade 10, central Copenhagen (DRC HQ will move to Ryparken Station in the fall of 2025)
- Start date: As soon as possible
Salary and conditions: In accordance with the agreement between DRC and HK. This is a national position for which local terms and conditions apply. Please note that you need to have the right to work in Denmark (through nationality or existing work visa) in order to be considered for this role.
