INTERN – SPATIAL DESIGN

We are looking for a talented Intern to join our Spatial Design team in Copenhagen. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a small, creative group that designs and executes spatial projects worldwide for &Tradition, including showrooms, exhibitions, shop-in-shop installations, contract and retail projects.

The internship will begin on 1 March 2025 (or as soon as possible) and last for a minimum of 6 months.

WORK AREAS
As an Intern, you will assist the Spatial Design team in translating &Tradition’s core values into compelling interior designs. Your role will involve using both existing and new products, combined with storytelling, to bring these designs to life.

In addition to this, your work responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the design and technical development of brand activation projects, including but not limited to exhibitions, contract and showroom projects.
• Creating visualizations of spaces and assisting with technical drawings for bespoke props, furniture and architectural details with the guidance from our Senior Spatial Designer.
• Collaborating with the Spatial Design team, whilst also working with Graphic Design and other departments where necessary.
• Maintaining the overall styling and standards of all &Tradition areas, such as the office and showroom.
• Keeping material, textile and finishes knowledge up to date, as well as taking responsibility for the spatial material library. Source and request new material samples for specific projects with the guidance from the spatial designers.
• Preparing and updating 3D files, guidelines and other jobs that aid the overall efficiency of the Spatial Design team, including ad-hoc jobs and installation of projects.

Travelling for work related tasks might occur occasionally.

QUALIFICATIONS
You are characterized by being an independent, proactive worker who thrives on challenges. With a strong sense of aesthetics and awareness of design, you are hands-on in solving tasks and confident in technical and construction detailing for suppliers and contractors. Currently studying design, architecture, otherwise, you're proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino and KeyShot.
