Ramboll Group
- Hannemanns Allé 53, Copenhagen, Denmark
- Intern
Job Description
Do you want to change the world and move businesses and society in a sustainable direction? Do you want to push the boundaries of your profession and develop your excellence in an open, collaborative, and empowering culture while being part of our journey to create a globally leading consultancy within sustainability and strategy?
Bring your interest in strategy, sustainability, M&A, and business development into play as you help deliver integrated and sustainable solutions as a management consulting intern. In this position, you will gain insights into a global consultancy, while obtaining solid knowledge of what it takes to be a management consultant, with a primary focus on Responsible Business Conduct.
We are passionate about the green transition, circular economy, sustainable finance, and social sustainability. We specialise in business and sustainability consulting within the sectors of energy, infrastructure, construction, manufacturing, waste, and water where we advise both private companies and the public sector. In doing so, we provide sustainability strategies, financial advisory and implementation as a one-stop shop for our clients. We believe that the true value of our offerings arises from the ability to combine traditional business and strategy consulting with true sustainability expertise within the same team to provide one coherent solution addressing both issues at once.
Inviting bright minds to join our Strategic Sustainability Consulting department
As our new colleague, you will be a part of a dynamic and international department with an inspiring professional drive and strong team spirit. While our backgrounds are diverse, we share a passion for our work, projects, and clients, and we enjoy spending time together outside the workplace at social gatherings.
As a management consultancy in Ramboll, our projects are characterised by bridging commercial business understanding and deep technical expertise. You will be challenged with a busy workday in an interdisciplinary environment, where you will learn about all parts of a project, from tendering through project execution. You will be an integrated part of our team, and from the moment you join us, you will be supported in your personal and professional development. You will gain experience from challenging and complex projects and participate in training tailored to our team and your professional experience.
Potential projects you can be involved in may include:
- Alignment with international and national standards for responsible business conduct – such as:
- Assessment of companies against international and national standards such as CSDDD, EU Taxonomy minimum safeguards; EU Batteries Regulation and the German Supply Chain Act.
- Monitoring development in international standards and national requirements on responsible business conduct
- Embedding responsible business conduct into company governance and management – such as:
- Assessment of companies’ governance and management processes
- Strategy and policy alignments with international standards
- Responsible sourcing processes
- Stakeholder engagement
- Access to remedies, including the establishment of grievance mechanisms.
- Responsible business conduct due diligence – such as:
- Impact assessments
- Tracking and monitoring impacts
- Development of training materials for staff
- Sustainable economics, finance, and ESG – such as:
- EU Taxonomy alignment and roadmap
- ESG screening and assessment
- CSRD reporting
Your tasks will be varied and depend on the project scope as well as your personal development goals. Typical project responsibilities for an intern include research; data, market, and competitor analysis; creating presentations; writing reports; and participating in client workshops. You will mainly work with our responsible business conduct team.
For this journey, we believe your starting point is:
- Currently studying or about to begin your graduate studies or a relevant higher education, typically within business, law, economics, or sustainability
- Among the best in your class
- Relevant work experience from student jobs, internships, or extracurricular activities
- A structured approach with strong analytical and conceptual capabilities
- Ability to think strategically, have a high level of abstraction, and the ability to put yourself in the client’s shoes
- Ability to work independently, but at the same time be a team player
- Experience in using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Professional proficiency in English (Proficiency in Danish is not mandatory, but it will be beneficial)
