What you’ll be doing
We are looking for a dedicated student assistant to be an active member of our Legal team. You will need a problem-solving mindset because no day will be the same.
Working closely with your experienced colleagues, you will have a key role planning, coordinating and executing tasks relating to Rules and Regulations and supporting corporate legal functions. For example, you will be responsible for coordinating various internal and extern fora relevant for our business and supporting our many internal stakeholders with legal material.
As part of our Rules & Regulation department you will contribute to ensuring the departments overall goal, as responsible for the oversight of rule development and feedback to the global corporate on what is trending within regulatory affairs on European and International level. The department also supports and help with finding and interpretate correct legislation to colleagues on a global level. The department is also overall responsible for the portfolio of patents associated with VIKINGs products. You will take part in handling the patents on a day to day basis in close cooperation with the associated patent attorneys.
Your primary responsibilities and tasks include:
- support on patent administration and legal risk management matters
- navigate in a global organization with many stakeholders and assist them on an ongoing basis
- provide ad-hoc practical and administrative support to your colleagues
You’ll work approximately 2 full days per week, with flexibility to adjust to your personal life – with favorable flexibility around exam periods.
Student assistants play an important role within the VIKING organization. Many of our students also complete their internships with us and write their thesis about real-world projects and challenges at VIKING.

What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate for the position is currently studying the second half of a BA.jur., or have at least 1.5 years left of cand.jur.
You are driven and looking for exactly that company which can offer you a student job and later a permanent position in our Legal Division.
- You’re meticulous, organized and responsible: you can take ownership of tasks and projects while seeing them through from briefing to implementation
- It would be a benefit if you have maritime knowledge or technical flair
Since our corporate language is English, you have great English skills – both written and orally.
