The Position
You will be a part of HBK’s Corporate Strategy and M&A team where you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to some of the company’s key projects, such as formulating our long-term strategy, explore and execute on M&A opportunities, review market potentials etc. in collaboration with the team. We offer an exciting and varied role which allows you to further develop your knowledge, competences, and skillset.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Create and prepare internal and external presentations and decision materials for senior management
- Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative information from internal and external sources, translating this into clear insights
- Build business cases and assess new strategic opportunities for HBK
- Assist in the preparation of company valuations for M&A purposes (DCF, multiples), including financial modelling
- Support our due diligence processes on an ad-hoc basis
Background & Skills
Preferably you are in the process of completing a bachelor or have just embarked on your master’s degree within either business/finance or engineering with a commercial mindset and top tier results within the required fields. Prior experience from strategy or M&A roles is a plus. Additionally, you have a:
- High attention to detail
- Natural ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
- Pro-active and ambitious approach to your work and career
As our preferred candidate, you can work independently on the tasks given to you, and are willing to take on challenges – strategic, operational as well as practical tasks. Workload is approximately 15-20 hours per week and flexible during peak periods. We will provide the same flexibility around your exam periods.
