Microbiologist for QC team

We are looking for a new colleague for our microbiological team in Kvistgaard, Denmark. In the role, you will contribute to the testing and release of vaccines against critical diseases. QC Microbiology is responsible for performing analyses of routine samples and validations of new products and equipment.
Boost our team
The QC Microbiology team is part of quality control (QC), which consists of 6 different teams and a total of 80 people. The QC Microbiology team performs analyzes such as bioburden, endotoxin test, TOC, ID analysis of microorganisms with MALDI-TOF, process simulation, handling of environmental samples and soon we will also perform test for sterility.
The team consists of 7 laboratory technicians, 5 microbiologists and a manager. Bavarian Nordic is growing, but we are still not bigger than for all scientists to learn every type of analysis conducted in our laboratory. This creates an excellent opportunity for learning and the chance to influence projects and analyses.
Your responsibilities
With us, you will be part of a workplace with a high pace and a wide variety of tasks e.g.:
- Approval of sample results
- Write deviations and change requests
- Write validation protocols and reports
- Support to the microbial laboratory with e.g. equipment or issues with analysis
- Troubleshooting for the production in relation to microbial issues
About you
Cooperation, energy, and a smile are at the top of our list, and we are looking for someone with the following profile:
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. as microbiologist, engineer, or similar education
- Whether you are experienced or newly graduated - the most important thing is the eagerness and motivation to learn
- Knowledge of GMP
- Experience with documentation requirements in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus
- You must be able to speak and understand fluent Danish, and be proficient in English
