Job: Internship in Oxfam Denmark on Climate Justice – Autumn 2025
Do you want to contribute to fighting poverty and inequality in the world? Are you interested in climate justice, human rights and international development? And do you see climate adaptation, resilience, and mitigation as important for developing just and green societies? Then you could be the intern that we would like to engage in Oxfam’s climate justice work.
Background
Oxfam Denmark is part of the international confederation, Oxfam, that works to fight extreme inequality in the world. As an intern, you will contribute to this work in developing countries, globally, and in Denmark.
Task examples
- Analysis, mapping and documentation of climate-related topics and processes.
- Support project-related work within the climate justice thematic area.
- Communication work – including newsletters, case stories, and visual presentations.
- Support planning and facilitating events, workshops and processes related to our climate work – both online and physical.
- Participate in national and international task teams and networks on Climate Justice.
- Support internal mainstreaming of climate and environmental issues to reduce Oxfam Denmark´s carbon footprint.
- Ad-hoc support to the Economic Justice team approx. 1 day per week.
Competencies required
- You are currently undertaking a master degree in Denmark in a relevant field.
- You are interested in climate justice and international development, and preferably have some practical experience, for example as a volunteer or climate activist.
- You have good strategic thinking and planning skills that enable you to work with project development.
- You are capable of working independently and as part of a team to reach a common goal.
- You possess good writing skills and communicate complex issues in a simple and understandable way – both orally and in writing.
- You speak and write English fluently. Danish will be an asset.
- You like being part of a team of good colleagues and engage in social activities.
We offer
Working hours are 37 hours (full time) per week and the duration of the internship is 5 months starting 01 September 2025. We are flexible in terms of adapting working hours to your studies and any student jobs so 30 to 37 hours per week can be agreed. The organisation will be moving to Lyngbyvej 100, 2100 København Ø, in September 2025.
As we cannot offer our interns a salary, it is a requirement that you receive SU. However, we offer you a free lunch scheme (mainly vegetarian) and the opportunity to participate in morning yoga once a week.
