Academy Project: Internship at Deep Tech department

Introduction
Aquaporin A/S is a pioneering biotechnology company at the forefront of water purification and filtration. By harnessing the natural water channels present in living organisms, Aquaporin specializes in the development of cutting-edge membrane technologies that facilitate highly efficient water treatment processes. The heart of its innovation lies at the Deep Tech Center, where research is dedicated to the advancement of the next generation of biomimetic membranes.

Objective
The objective of this internship is to assist in the development of new Aquaporin Inside® membranes (forward osmosis and/or reverse osmosis).

Main tasks

• Literature review on membrane processes: forward osmosis, reverse osmosis or membrane chemistry.
• The experimental part will be potentially focused on:
• Final data evaluation, presentation of results and writing of report.

• Production of membrane prototypes
• Evaluation of membrane performance
• Sample analysis
