Arla Foods are looking to appoint an enthusiastic student to join our Inbound Logistics team for the 2025/2025 Novus Student placements. The role will provide the successful student invaluable experience of working cross functionally across Arla UK Logistics covering sustainability for Inbound, Outbound, Warehousing and Customer Logistics.

The successful candidate will be at the forefront at one of Arla’s logistics operations in Stourton, a site responsible for collecting circa 430 million litres per annum. Interacting and engaging with our driver colleagues, farmer owners and office staff to provide the best possible service at minimum cost, to maximise operational efficiency.

UK Logistics Sustainability and UK Inbound duties

• 2 days a week working on UK Sustainability work to include
  • Data Management, strategic Projects, collaboration within Logistics and other functions & leadership of meetings

• 1 day a week working in UK Inbound Operations at Stourton Inbound depot to include
  • Compliance & legislation required to operate within Logistics in the UK
  • Despatch/Debrief & engagement with drivers
  • Route building - using our systems to learn about planning routes effectively and within legal requirements
  • Driver Training – understand the fundamental aspects of what is required and help plan training dates/briefs & manage this with the driver trainer
  • Attend meetings on KPIs/Financial elements of the department to understand how we remain competitive in the logistics market

• 2 days a week working on Inbound general projects and tasks to include
  • Supply and Demand - bulk cream planning
  • KPI reporting
  • Constituents/volume reconciliation
  • Rejected milk handling
