Danmarks Tekniske Universitet

In the Section for Society, Markets and Policy (SMP), Department of Wind and Energy Systems at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), we are looking for a Part time Assistant with an interest in contributing to analytical work on a project focusing on the local economic impacts of wind power.

We are currently engaged in several research and consultancy projects focusing on the economic impacts of renewable energy based on econometric methods. The work to be undertaken is related to a project, which will draw on input-output models that are tailored to sub-national level data in order to contextualise local economic impacts to specific regions and municipalities. An assessment framework will be developed in the project, which will serve as a reference point for further empirical research in this area.

The job
As part of the project, you will contribute to develop an assessment framework to study the local economic impacts of wind power. The main result of this work will be in the form of a report consisting of an introduction section, a methodology section and a section presenting the main results from applying the framework based on relevant data. You will work closely with senior researchers at DTU who will provide continued guidance to the candidate and give feedback on drafts of the report.

Our expectations of you
We are looking for a candidate with relevant academic qualifications, including relevant education at master-level and prior experience with techno-economic models and assessment methods, such as input-output models (e.g. as part of MSc courses taught at DTU). The candidate is required to have a good understanding of relevant software programmes and have acquired the necessary technical skills needed to carry out the mathematical calculations based on different sources of data.

We expect that you can work independently, efficiently and meet deadlines and deliverables in a timely manner. You should have excellent communication and writing skills while working with a focus on producing high quality outputs.

What we offer in return
We offer an interesting and challenging job in an international atmosphere with the focus on research, teaching, innovation and scientific advice for the benefit of the surrounding community.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).

The position is time-restricted and will terminate by end of the project which is expected to run until April 2026. The expected start date is 15 January 2026 or as soon hereafter. The position is 15 hours per week.

Application and contact
Please submit your online application no later than Thursday 25 December 2025. Open the “Apply now” link, fill out the form and attach your motivated application, CV and exam certificates.

If you would like additional information about the position, please contact Head of Section, Ulrich Elmer Hansen on (+45) 93511622 or [email protected]
