Engineering internship in Electrical Design Department

You will play an important role in:
Contributing to the development of a new series of measurement tools for two-stroke marine engines. During you internship you will be involved in all stages of development from concept to production of one or more of these tools.
- Possible task:
- Conceptual design through requirements analysis
- Hardware testing and validation (sensors, cameras, motors, microcontrollers etc.)
- Prototype design and construction
- Software design and programming (C and/or Python)
- Documentation and development of test material
We imagine that you:
- Are studying Electrical engineering, Mechatronics, mechanical engineering with specialization in mechatronics or similar.
- Have good problem solving skills
- Curious by nature, team player and proactive
- Work independently and not afraid to fail when trying something new
- Have some experience with programming. (C and/or python)
- Can see yourself in some of the following keywords:
- Fast prototyping (3D printing, soldering prototype boards)
- Programming microcontrollers (Arduino)
- Measurements and sensor technology
- CAD design
- Knowledge of basic circuitry

Welcome Electrical Design Department
In Electrical Design we are responsible for electrical documentation, control system configuration and instrumentation across the full two-stroke engine portfolio. We are 9 colleagues with various technical backgrounds.
In our everyday work, we interact with both mechanical designers, electronics hardware designers, software developers, service engineers and sourcing/logistics, as well as external customers and suppliers.
Working in the Electrical Design department on this particular assignment, you will be working closely with our Application Design department responsible for auxiliary unit design and maintenance tools for the engines.
We have an open and flexible work culture; where we all support each other.
You will bring ideas from concept, to commercial design and follow it into production and service. The work takes place in cross-functional projects with a wide range of competences.
