Design and build the financing customer journey of the future. You will join the Financing Businesses Tribe and help design and build front-end solutions for performance, reliability, and scale. You will collaborate across disciplines with architects, front-end and cloud engineers, business analysts, and UX specialists to deliver modern web experiences.
About the Financing Businesses Tribe
You will work in an agile environment inspired by the Spotify model. Professionals form chapters (e.g., Cloud, Front-End, Business Analysts) and cross-functional squads focus on clear product outcomes. The tribe builds modern solutions that help colleagues in Danske Bank handle one of our core business areas, financing, and we are developing self-service solutions for customers. Our web apps are mainly built in React and integrate with our .NET mid-tier.
About the Role
Join as a student front-end engineer and learn by contributing to real features in modern React with TypeScript under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Take on well-defined tasks such as building UI components, fixing bugs, and improving accessibility and performance.
- Assist with API integrations using REST to deliver reliable, user-centered experiences.
- Write maintainable unit and integration tests and use CI/CD with coaching to keep quality high and releases smooth.
- Use generative AI responsibly to support development, testing, and documentation within bank policies.
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, demos, and agile ceremonies to build your skills and confidence.
- Collaborate with designers, architects, cloud engineers and business analysts to deliver modern web experiences.
- Work part-time alongside your studies with flexibility around exam periods.
What You Bring
- Experience with React, Git, and TypeScript.
- Comfortable working in VS Code with modern tooling and extensions.
- Ability to use generative AI efficiently as part of your development workflow, including prompting, refactoring, testing, and documentation, while staying mindful of security and confidentiality.
- Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design.
- Curiosity, a growth mindset, and the drive to learn quickly.
- Ability to work independently yet collaborate effectively in a team.
Nice to Have
- Express.js for API development and tooling.
- End-to-end and UI testing with Playwright or Cypress.
- Unit testing with Jest or Vitest.
- Experience with design systems and component documentation (e.g., Storybook).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and code quality tools.
- Apollo GraphQL and GraphQL schema-first development.
