About the job
Merkle, a dentsu company, powers the experience economy through people-centred digital transformation. With 35+ years of expertise rooted in data, engineering, and experience design, we help global brands create connected, measurable, end-to-end digital experiences. Recognised as a Leader by top analyst firms, Merkle operates in 30+ countries with 16,000+ employees worldwide, including 300 colleagues across Copenhagen and Aarhus.

The role
In late August 26 for 12-20 weeks, we’re looking for a Software Intern to join our Aarhus team and support real client and internal projects. This internship is hands-on: you’ll work in a collaborative, fast-moving environment, contribute to day-to-day tasks, and learn how technology, data, and digital experiences come together in practice.

You’ll rotate across activities such as research, platform setup, documentation, and product support, gaining exposure to modern tools, agile processes, and cross-functional teamwork. Throughout your internship, you’ll be paired with mentors who help guide your development and open doors to networking opportunities within Merkle.

What you'll do
• Support software and digital project work across research, analysis, testing, and documentation
• Learn and use internal tools and platforms to update programmes, workflows, and project assets
• Contribute to team meetings, standups, planning sessions, and collaborative tasks
• Participate in cross-team initiatives and help keep deliverables on track
• Engage in training, mentorship sessions, and internal events to build skills and industry understanding

Your experience
• Currently studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Data Science, or a similar technical degree
• Basic understanding of programming principles; familiarity with one or more languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, etc.)
• Comfortable using digital tools and willing to learn new platforms quickly
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Curious mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Benefits:

  • Weekly Friday bars (yup, your weekend buzz is on us!)
  • An unlimited amount of coffee, tea and supportive colleagues
  • Running club, game nights, grand parties, fun events

There's room for you to be yourself, including dressing however you like.
