At Dan-Bunkering Europe, we are looking for ambitious talents ready to join our offices in Middelfart and/or Copenhagen with start date in August 2026.

If you have a natural flair for sales and relationship-building, this trainee position offers a unique opportunity to start your career within the field of marine fuel trading and supply within a leading global organisation.

You will develop your commercial mindset, strengthen your negotiation skills and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic international trading environment, while contributing to the ongoing transition towards more sustainable marine fuels.

A tailored trainee programme – with a strong European perspective
The trainee programme runs for 2 years and combines structured education with practical experience, where learning components include:

• Enrolment in the Danish Shipping Academy in Copenhagen (leading to a Professional Bachelor’s degree)
• Supplementary training through Dan-Bunkering’s internal talent program
• Dedicated mentoring from experienced fuel suppliers within Dan-Bunkering Europe
• Active and hands-on involvement in the daily sales activities and operation

As part of Dan-Bunkering Europe, you will work particularly close with colleagues across our offices in Middelfart, Copenhagen, Monaco and Groningen on a daily basis. Working for longer periods of time from the different offices should be expected during the traineeship.

You will also engage and cooperate with colleagues from the rest of the organization outside Europe, giving you a strong cross-continental commercial foundation.

Who you are
We are looking for individuals with a strong motivation and commercial drive. A specific degree is not required – your mindset and ambition are what matter most. You are:

• Commercially minded with a strong interest in sales
• Proactive, outgoing and relationship-driven
• Ambitious, energetic and eager to learn
• Comfortable working in a busy and dynamic environment

• High proficiency level in English (speaking & writing - required)

What you will learn and work with

• Understanding bunker trading markets and customer dynamics
• Managing client relationships and developing new business
• Negotiating prices and closing deals in a competitive environment
• Working with internal trading tools, systems and global networks
• Participating in customer and supplier meetings across Europe
• Identifying commercial opportunities and supporting growth initiatives
• Gaining exposure to daily trading operations and stakeholder collaboration
