Part-time IT-worker for research work for electrical energy technology
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Aarhus University is seeking a part-time IT worker to support research activities in the FLEXUM project within electrical energy technology. The position is based at Finlandsgade 22, 8200 Aarhus N, with occasional work at the AU PtX facility in Foulum, and runs from October 15, 2026, to September 15, 2027.

Job description

  • Develop and maintain data infrastructure for the FLEXUM project, including data collection, data structuring, server setup, and supporting scripts/tools for research data handling.
  • Support technical investigations related to monitoring of electrolysis systems.
  • Collect and structure technical documentation and measurement data from the AU PtX facility in Foulum and support the definition of measurement and monitoring requirements.
  • Provide practical technical and IT support to the FLEXUM research activities, including on-site assistance at the Foulum facility when needed.

Your profile
We imagine that you:

  • are good at working with a team of colleagues, also with a different disciplinary background.
  • are able to communicate both written and verbally in English.
  • have a positive and sociable attitude.
  • have relevant experience with programming, data handling or data acquisition, and basic IT/server infrastructure.
  • have a relevant technical background or experience in electrical engineering, energy systems, automation, IT, or a related field.
  • have an interest in, or preferably experience with, power electronics, Power-to-X/electrolysis systems, measurement, or monitoring.
  • are able to work independently on technical tasks and participate in occasional on-site activities at the AU PtX facility in Foulum.

Formalities and salary range
The employment is subject to section 15 of the collective agreement for IT employees (PROSA) in the service of the state and LC/CO10-S (the Confederation of Teachers’ Unions/the Danish Confederation of Public Employees of 2010) collective agreement, or between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Confederation of Professional Unions, where you will be employed as an academic staff member at basic salary grades 4–8.
