Researcher

I was employed as a PhD Researcher at University of Twente and Radboudumc and I was working on the project: "Development of Biodegradable Adhesives for Meniscus Repair". My work resulted in publication and submission of 9 scientific articles, two collaborations with external partners (other Dutch universities) and I presented my work at major international conferences in the field.

Research Internship

I did my Master Internship in Biomedical Chemistry Department of the University of Twente.
Project: Development of enzymatically-crosslinked injectable hydrogels based on poly(ethylene glycol) and poly(lactic-acid) copolymers for cartilage tissue engineering.

The goal of the project was to design and synthesize hydrogel materials for treating cartilage defects. Developed materials were characterized in terms of their (chemical) structure, physical properties, rheology, biocompatibility in vitro and their suitability for intended application in cadaver knee model.

Laboratory Assistant

I was working as a volunteer student assistant in the Laboratory of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering. I was mostly working on the project: "Development of chitosan scaffolds for cartilage regeneration" as well as I was partially supporting other running project.

Industrial Internship

I was awarded dean scholarship for the top 5% students of the faculty for a 3 months internship in the chosen industrial institution.
During my internship in Polpharma (which is the biggest polish producer of pharmaceuticals) in the Department of Chemical Synthesis of API's my main activities included:
  • equipment qualification (mostly reactors)
  • balancing synthesis processes
    • - introduction to GMP rules in pharmaceutical industry
