Brand Management
Brand management has enabled me to gain additional insite on how a corporation functions. The minor Brand Management has also taught me how to conduct professional interviews, in which I am able to formulate a clear view of how employees view a company.
Advertising
The minor Advertising included exhibiting the usage visual theories such as Gestalt, Rhethoric, Semiotics, Athos, Pathos, Logos. The courses included the implication of photoshop and visual samples which in turn had to be analyzed and substantiated with the visual theories. Multiple advertisements had to be created after short pitches of concepts by the teachers.
Design Management
Design Management is a minor where the student is able implement his theories and intuition on a current project/client. The usage of theoretical theories such as Gestalt and Rhetorics aimed at developing a new undergoing concept which in turn will be implemented to the client. The minor included a project in which we had to re-develop the Jewish Historical Museum situated in Amsterdam.
Visual Communication and Knowledge Building
Together with Design Management, V.K.B. is also another leading minor in which the student has been taught on how visual theories relate to implemented concepts in the professional workfield. An example of professional competencies included a project in where we had to visit the ‘’Rijks Museum” identifying and reading hidden messages within the paintings. The development and usage of a theoretical framework is included which is the underlying basis of a Bachelor thesis.
Bachelor Thesis
The development of a communication strategy in order to draw potential students for the Communication course of the Inholland University of Applied Sciences. The thesis focused on Social Media Marketing as a potential method for recruiting potential students
