Parkinsonforeningen er en patientforening, som arbejder aktivt for at sikre parkinsonramte og deres pårørende bedre livsvilkår. I Danmark er ca. 8.000 mennesker ramt af Parkinsons sygdom, og Parkinsonforeningen er den eneste organisation, der samlet varetager parkinsonfamiliernes interesser over for myndigheder, samarbejdspartnere og andre. Foreningens medlemmer tilbydes desuden kurser, rådgivning og andre aktiviteter. Endelig støtter foreningen forskning i Parkinsons sygdom med et årligt millionbeløb.
