Student Assistant for Global Sustainability

Ørsted

Join us in this role where you’ll get hands-on experience with sustainable finance and sustainability strategy. This is your opportunity to deepen your knowledge of ESG ratings and reporting, sustainability strategy and integration, investor engagement, and sustainable financing instruments, such as green bonds, while learning from a dedicated team in a global organisation.

Welcome to Global Sustainability
You’ll be part of the Sustainability Foresight & Integration team where you, together with your colleagues, will work with ESG ratings – helping us maintain and improve our performance by engaging with ESG rating agencies, supporting internal action plans, reviewing and submitting ESG data, and contributing to sustainability reporting, communication, and investor dialogue. You’ll also support tasks related to Ørsted’s strategic direction and priorities on sustainability and the integration of these into business processes, decision-making, and governance.

As a team, we focus on giving everyone the opportunity to influence the development of the department and you’ll have unique opportunities for personal and professional development.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • strengthening our sustainability performance in financial markets by supporting ESG rating engagements, data reviews, and responding to investor inquiries
  • collaborating across departments with colleagues and other teams to support Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) related tasks and action plans
  • assisting the team in integrating strategic sustainability priorities in larger cross-departmental projects
  • supporting in ad hoc department tasks and preparation of material as part of the development and internal communication of our sustainability strategy.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • are self-driven, organised, and capable of working independently while delivering high-quality results on time
  • possess strong communication skills, particularly in written communication, and can create clear, structured presentations tailored to your audience
  • have strong analytical skills and attention to detail, comfortable handling large volumes of information (such as ESG data) in a structured way and have an eye for using insights from this information to guide strategic decisions
  • have a passion for sustainability and an interest to learn about e.g. ESG ratings, green bonds, and how to work with the sustainability agenda in a large global organisation
  • are in the final year of a bachelor’s degree or beginning a master’s degree in sustainability, finance, political science, business administration, economics, or a similar field.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
