Postdoc in Spin Qubit Design & Control
Københavns Universitet (KU)
The Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP) is establishing a talented and diverse international team to create a cutting-edge quantum programme in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark. At the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, where the formulation of Quantum Mechanics was born 100 years ago, we aim to establish an international quantum computing programme, funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation, that will drive research and innovations at multiple levels - from developing scalable quantum processor technologies to solutions for the quantum-classical control and readout interface, and all the way to quantum algorithms and applications. The long-term mission of the programme is to develop fault-tolerant quantum computing hardware and quantum algorithms that solve life-science-relevant chemical and biological problems.
Description
We are looking for a Postdoc in Spin Qubit Design & Control with experience in the field of quantum computing or semiconductor physics to join the Spin Qubit Team at NQCP. The team is led by Assist. Prof. Francesco Borsoi and focuses on achieving a quantum advantage to solve life science problems exploiting the unique properties of semiconductor quantum dots processors. To reach this ambitious goal, we are building a world-class research group and developing state-of-the-art infrastructure.
The Spin Qubit group is a newly established pilot line at NQCP, and we are seeking an entrepreneurial, passionate, and innovative individual who can work independently across a wide range of topics. Due to the broad scope of this position, the role can be tailored to the candidate. We highly encourage applications from underrepresented groups in the field.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary data-driven environment, collaborating with teams specializing in nanofabrication, material characterization, quantum device simulation, and quantum algorithms. The candidate will lead critical developments in quantum hardware and contribute to cutting-edge research and engineering.
The postdoc’s duties will include research within Spin Qubit Design & Control. The post may also include performance of other duties.
