First things first—figure out why you need a grant. It’s not for funding wild nights out or shopping sprees. You need to make a solid case for why you deserve one. Once you’re clear on your purpose, it’s easier to target the right grants. Many are specifically earmarked for certain fields of study, overseas experiences, or research in specific areas.
Start with the big ones
We’ve designed our grant page to give you an overview of major grants, many of which have rolling application deadlines. These grants are often not tied to specific study programs, so they’re open to everyone. However, because they’re so popular, you’ll likely need to apply for multiple grants to increase your chances. Find the right filters
If you’re looking for more specific grants, try using the search module on the site. You can filter by your educational background or the purpose of the grant. It’s also smart to check the geographical restrictions of grants—some are only for students from certain areas—and keep an eye on application deadlines. You’ll also find a list of grants with upcoming deadlines on the grant page.
Write a strong application
